... the area, and camo gear so the prey don't see you, or tree house things you can hide in so they don't see you when you lie in wait for them. Or traps for animals that you won't see otherwise other than seeing their tracks in an area. That all seems pretty different from the experience in HnH ...

Rolling logs

... and checks for elevation change > if new elevation is lower, repeat process. It could be an easier way to move logs and could be used for hunting/traps if you have moving logs do damage to creatures/hearthlings.

I also like the idea of needing to place traps and group up together for PVE (I think that you should be able to stomp all over anything below boar-tier of strength solo though) For that they would need to buff the loot you get from above boar ...

... would make a lot of sense if archery were a viable alternative. However, we are not in such a position. I also like the idea of needing to place traps and group up together for PVE (I think that you should be able to stomp all over anything below boar-tier of strength solo though)

how about you add more VALUE to fish too? im sitting on a mountain of bait and no one in my village wants to eat things made from fish.

mostly cuz the majority of it adds intellect which is useless after a certain amount.
