I'll be the first to admit the strongbox was a dick move, but do you think I really cared while they roamed our village killing at will? I saw a way to at least temporarily enrage someone who had completely ruined the game experience for a whole village. I am still pretty happy about that part.

Put a strongbox at the entrance of your own mine, and you can safe keep everything in you mine (fits thousands of cupboards) because it takes a shitton of strength to break through (can't use ram).

That's the whole point of strongboxes. I agree with Burg that they should be completely immobile.

I do too, in fact. For some reason, Jorb didn't want that, though.

But...but...if the strongboxes become immobile, I can't build a Zelda-esque dungeon in my mine! =(

I actually really enjoyed using a strongbox as a gate (even though it was obviously not the intended use.)
It was like part mailbox, part gate. All awesome...
Can we get mailboxes...? That would be so awesome for village life. Using random containers isn't quite as effective because people can move them, and people who have access to strongboxes would obviously be able to steal them too.

I think I speak for everyone when I say fuck you. Seriously.

Oh and build a palisade man, it's not hard? I don't really understand how you can possibly think it was a good idea to put your cows on unclaimed land, not surround your cows with a palisade, not surround your house with a palisade, not surround your mines with a palisade, not surround your other village with a palisade, actually kill those guys and leave murder sents. Sure Goons might have gotten raided once because we didn't change a gate to which we knew the other guys had keys too, but you guys are taking lead position now in the stupidest things done this server hotlist after this fiasco.

strongbox in a mine is a nice trick though, thanks for the tip.

If Jorb is dead-set against immobile strongboxes, perhaps you could make them deployable? Ie something like raft, but collapses into inventory objects rather than liftables. You should reuse this technology for stuff like tents and Skidbladnir.
