Well it is a given for being a major trader. ^.^

Damn...Funny how I was just talking to you the day before Boarz, never did I expect to see you killed within 24 hours. I wish you well in your future endeavors, the game might be over but you have your whole life ahead of ya. Take care man~

Wow!

I was just talking to boarz the other day (I'm Khaos in-game); never imagined this would go down... Actually, never imagined Bitza would be taken down by a ranger; how many powerplayers did we just loose? Is this the end of the goons?

To be honest though, I really hope this would start something big. The world has been pretty calm lately, maybe one or two grieffers, but things are starting to slowly get more and more tense. I've been following what has been going on pretty closely from behind my crappy little palisade home, and am wondering when the shit will finally hit the fan, and a war breaks out between the big cities.

But then again, if that happens, I won't be able to trade as easily :(

lets say you had 550 melee, and the other guy was 550 melee.

you have 550 offence, he has 550 * 2 (def = 2x melee) * 1.25 (shield stance) defence

so if he had even stats with you, you would take off the following %
550 offence/ 1375 defence = 40%

so if you really only took off 33% exactly, i would say his melee is 666 modified. which isn't that much higher.

what total armour absorbton/deflection do you think you had btw? iam kinda courious as to their ranger bow quality if they killed you in 2 hits. and what was your total hp.

If your melees are even you always take off 40% with sting, 70% with valorous. You can use that as a nice gauge.

In my humble opinion it's more impressive than grinding up to 500 in any skill. To all of you goons that are quitting or have quit. I hope to see you come back even stronger in world 4.

I think a large reason they became the economic super power is because they were the first to sell what no other major faction would. Thanes and Forge rings.

I'm pretty sure lots of people bought jewelery from the goons and then just became accustomed to trading with them. After other factions started selling jewelry too, a lot of the reason people went to Goons is because of there jeweler who's stats were rather impressive.

Their great prices and customer service helped too I think :P

They made a smart decision in selling Thanes and Forge rings and suffered seemingly no repercussion because of it.

Good Work Goons.

Thanks for all the fish.

Seeya next world.

Selling thanes/forges was and still is a bad idea. Forges not as much as thanes, but it's a terrible idea. Did selling them anyways let them go economically where no other faction would? Yeah, it did. Not only that but they bought things no one else cares about like stinging nettle, this is what makes a big difference. I'm not willing to buy said things, although I did decide after that I'd at least buy 'anything' that I could find useful in my own right, it's why if you compare the thread to stickman's despite his superior prices, he only buys a few things. Options are very important, goons capitalized on this and are very good at it, whoever was in charge of trading was great at it, I'm sure if they started again they'd be right back on top, jeweler or not.

It's good money, but basically AD never stopped selling them, since AD didn't stop, it doesn't matter if we do. As long as someone's willing to sell them, they get sold. If AD stops, we'd stop. Well, at this point AD and stickman, but I doubt stickman will stop since he also sell's ranger's bows now, which IMO is more dangerous to sell, the last thing I need is to never be able to afk 10 minutes on my plot because otherwise "Hey, I'm dead!".

It's a stupid thing to do if you wanna stay as much on top as you can regarding to military power.

That's true. You guys were(are?) a bit lacking in that department, so I suppose it's not as big of a deal to take such a risk.

Well we started selling them because goons was, later stickman appeared with them. We have same idea, if we didn;t sell and somebody else sells we need to sell it too...
If we be sure others will not sell them we stop it too.
And same with ranger bow... it even worse than thanes...
