MS used to be a decent game, until drama ruined it because every server you got on was "Lol I ks u", flyff was okay until drama bullshit made it crap. Ragnarok was always good and still is, but drama on almost every private server (and the official ones both korean and global) are absolute shit and make you want to quit.

Really this mostly happens with games that have limited resources. It does make games like HnH where you can kill people a little more exciting if you like that kind of metagame, but if you have to read 3 pages of who hates who and drama bullshit about "Yeah oh man they attacked them out of nowhere, what fags right? We're all gonna kill 'em cuz they're fags" or "Russians sux, BR sux, lol i no racis" it just gets fucking tiring and you're not playing the game as much as you are playing "Politician Junior Edition".

It's even worse when you have to skim through several different threads just to get a general idea of what happened because it's not documented anywhere readable in one go. Endgame fighting and squabbling is fun, but not when there are drama queens that blow it out of proportion involved.

Well yes, you can't really name any because big drama between groups is usually a good thing for an MMO (as long as it doesn't stem from broken game mechanics obviously). Since you want your game to get as much exposure as possible and you want it to speak to people's imagination, and nothing is quite as interesting as some good old fashioned skull bashing.

Erm, not to defend anything... but I did name one. Pretty high user count too, and blows the hell out of this MMO's user count. Granted pre-beta and everything, just saying. Doesn't disregard datoneguy at all though.

That's what Sabinati was challenging DatOneGuy to do. He made the stupid comments, so he should back them up.

Ignoring the history in H&H is like to running blind through a minefield. Some people get away with doing it for a while, but that's just because they are lucky. Imagine you are building your homestead and a well armed stranger approaches and tells you he's your neighbor. How should you react? If you don't care about history and wait to see how this person behaves toward you, then you could be taken for all you have. Any animal can learn from its own mistakes, it's the special ones that learn from the mistakes of others.

Doesn't that normally mean you're likely owned anyhow? Sadly in my limited experience the only ones with the armor are the ones that are going to wipe you out.


Just in a friendly off note too, I don't get why all the same faces always drop into the threads where people are obviously complaining about being raided, to complain about reading about people getting raided? Doesn't that make those same faces essentially trolls? I mean, if you don't have interest in putting anything constructive in, why you in the thread? Usually it's just people upset about having been wiped out venting publically, like most people do about almost anything they feel slighted about.

So why do the same names always drop in to cause excessive drama over it? Not to challenge you guys about it or anything, just seems silly and immature. Why bother even reading if you hate it so much? 90% of the posts in these threads are people complaining about people complaining.

We are a little shizophrenic about that one maybe. On the one hand we all love some good old fashioned whining about being raided , on the other hand we have seen this so many times that it is like a broken record...a broken record with a really good song on it if you will.

Oh and don't mix up a troll with somebody laughing about clueless noobs who ignored all instructions about how to defend themselves/what can happen in this game despite defending yourself.

I'd also like to point out that while you guys did say that drama is good for an MMO, it depends on the scale, and it's almost never good for the MMO player. I care for my experience more than I do for the overall game's health normally, eh.

It's not being done to be constructive, or helpful, it's being done to get a reaction.

As so far as not liking the whining, again I'm drawn back to the point of why even click? These threads are never disguised. Well at least in my experiences, I'm not all knowing.

Not everyone is perfect, not everyone is a 'clueless noob' because they didn't want to play the game exactly how you wished them to. Just as much as it is surely stupid for someone to go on 'stupid *&^*&% raiders! I &^*^(^ hate them, I'm going to hunt you down and slit your throats!!' ( QQ etc...) it's also just as bad to be berrating OP or someone who's been the particular victim of a raid.

If you guys want to read the threat, read it. If its something your sick of hearing, don't? Worst of all why bother berrating people over it? Like I said, on some of these threads a very large portion of the posts are specifically the same small collective of people who are all bitching about the bitching. At least the OP's tend to be different when they're complaining about Raiding, (mind you fairly, I don't have the history in the game to note whether or not this person and a couple others makes a 'omg we've been raided!' post every month. But know that they aren't doing it every week and the like.)

Last time I checked my country and Sweden as well allowed me the freedom of speech. So even if you don't like me laughing about whiners, I will still do it. You must have gotten me wrong in some points, because I love the whining, especially from that crazy bitch rhiannon and her gang. It is just so much more delicious to drive someone like her into raeg mode than other players.

When you take a look at old threads where Wayneville got attacked, you will never hear us whine about the idiocy of the people (ridiculous thing to do btw: Because you got raided in a game and laughed at, the guy doing so has to be an idiot. It might be right most of the time, but it is not causal in any way.). The only thing you might hear is us swearing revenge, which we usually went through with. Tough luck if you can't do the same, but then again maybe it is not me who should shut up, but you. Because all you will achieve by crying about being a defenseless noob is hearing my laughter and painting a bull's eye to your head for the next raider to come.

Being griefed is awesome fuel for revenge. Most of my villagers got off their asses after we got attacked, so that we can kill the fuckers who did it. D=

I really don't understand the whining when you can have motivation.
