They also didn't show any proofs that it was A.D. People, just try to abstract from this idea and try think more deeper about what is going on.
It is easy nowadays to make good weapon or buy stuff for it (Sodom even sell dragonhelms; silver become cheaper and everyone can buy it; it is possible to buy gold; lots of people can plant trees q 90+ for high q steel), harder to up your stats (however, food is not problem - farmers can make 20 cupboards of food every 2 days), up your marksmanship (a lot of people use macros).

Anyhow, here's to hoping it's fun, but as Nept said, both sides will have casualties, we are very careful (usually), and have (as far as I know) not lost anyone (or at least not in forever...), and we actually lost 2 people this time.

The first time, we lost none, they lost 2, and they had 4 rangers to our 2, one of which was half asleep, yet we still killed 2+ of them.
