Sure, it can be done, but the whole str/soak arms race isn't any less stupid for it. I mean, if it was so great, why have rams, they could've just boosted walls' soak so you need 15k str to break brick or something.

I'm not doubting it can be done and I know how dedicated some people in sodom are. That doesn't mean you can start shitposting like our friend there did and call it a 'not ridiculous feat' because in fact it is quite an amazing feat to reach that much strength. (unless the soak got lowered and they didn't announce it publicly just like with palisades)

I never said that this is a good featur or that it is easy to achieve. On the other hand the whole ram mechanic is flawed as well. With walls that strong criminals got the advantage and not people who want to defend their towns.

The current problem with rams-wall (imo) is that it is much harder for a big village to patrol it walls compared to a murder fort. For the rest I quite like the mechanic? What else is wrong with it?

Oh and I'd be surprised if your resident strong man doesn't have 1,6k str yet, very surprised. Especially with the double FEP bugged tables. (you could probably get like 500 FEP points from a single piece of midnight then? Not sure how the multipliers interacted, I never tested it)

It is also much easier to build a multilayer fort for criminals, which is then quite impenetrable, because people would need to build a new ram for each layer. To punish a single criminal you need quite some people to take care of the operation all the time.

Most criminals are stupid, just find out their timezone build a ram outside their fort, and set a few guys with rangers bows waiting for him to come out and break it.

500+ per MBC is doable with good tables and HQ pepper.

1,6k+ str is more than doable even by moderately sized villages. The ability to build claims and walls of some kind in mines would do away with this nonsense.

You act like the investment of 2 steel per wall tile doesn't deserve a measure of extraordinary defense.
