So, after some time of preperation, Constantinople will finally open its gates for village embassies. Because of this we will have a opening ceremony tomorrow, the 16th of april at 13:00 UTC.

Every village interested in having an embassy there is heartily invited to send some representatives to there and join the opening.

Right after the ceremony, we will give away the first claims, so the villages can set up their places, build vending stands, make trading appointments and such.

Of course we can and will give out signs to Constantinople to villages, who don´t want to set up an embassy too, since the question rised at some point.

The idea of embassies is to give the villages a safe haven and, when doing trades and something is dropped, to have a member in the village to be able to rescue these items again. since we learned our lesson from old Brodgar

I hope, we will have a city buzzing with trading activities soon.

Unfortunately, with my weird-o sleep schedule I'm likely not gonna be able to attend. I definitely do want a sign at some point but it looks like I'll need to pick it up later. I'll pass on an 'embassy' though because we're just a podunk little village at the moment. Fortunately I made my way to Constantinople a couple of days ago (or at least found an area matching the map in the OP before I collapsed from exhaustion), so I know how to get there.

As with the above, I certainly hope this goes well and hopefully I'll be participating some. (I'm also not entirely sure if I have enough Agility to make it to Constantinople in a single jump, though, but that will be remedied eventually.)

a good point. if any village wants more then one sign, to distribute or share with neighbour villages, you can of course get the amount of signs you need.

we also would ask the villages in the surrounding grids to think about acting as stepstones and to build a signpost to constantinople and share this post with other villages, so we eventually end up with a network connecting our whole world.

of course we would advice to do this only as a well secured village and to build this post at a safe place

Mmm, looks like I'll be able to attend after all. Just need to guesstimate the travel time to make sure I'm not late.

Heh, I'm not sure I ever even had a functioning one.
