Re: New Wayneville

Once I watched and listened as Wayneville people murdered and mocked and pillaged. My character did not speak nor stand up after he was ko'd and was, I think, left for dead. Certainly he was struck repeatedly while he was ko'd. That only stopped when the x's ceased to circle his head and he looked like the dead around him did.

I wonder now how the people of Wayneville can think of changing their style of playing or their reputation. They held the other players in such contempt. I cannot believe they have changed that.

Well you may or may not believe we have changed, but as I mentioned in my OP some of our biggest enemies and even two former chiefs of the City of Brodgar have joined us. Those people wouldn't have done that if we weren't for real with our change in politics and playing style.

Nice job. =D

I'm looking forward to establishing some kind of network between the major cities. Between New Brodgar, New Wayneville and New Bottleneck, maybe we can amount to some kind of civilization =D

Postby Chakravanti » Tue Mar 09, 2010 1:27 pm

We shall henceforth be known as The New Wayneville Order....

Or....The NWO for short.
Well what is this that I can't see
With ice cold hands takin' hold of me
Well I am death, none can excel

Well for my part I compare what I've heard your citizens say in the forum "We did it for lulz!" and what they said to each other the one time I know I saw them in action while they were comparing what they took from the bodies, and it only makes me distrust the judgment of the people who joined you. I think they quite possibly would have joined you for political reasons. Whether they actually do trust you or not is another story.

How could you possibly change? If you're the kind of people who go up to a stranger and attack them and taunt them they way you did to me you've shown what you like to do. You've given a great many reasons to fear and mistrust you. It just strikes me as foolish to think that you won't revert back to the same playing style. You've already stated often enough that you will any time you get bored. Shouldn't I believe that instead?

Now if it were Trav posting and saying that he/she felt you could be trusted for the following reasons.... I'd listen and try to decide. Without any kind of evidence I can only imagine that it's another manipulation to try to keep other players from joining together to stop you before you get too powerful to be stopped again. Your promise strikes me like that of an chronically abusive spouse who says he's sorry and will never do it again.

You do realize this is still just a game, don't you? We are not some evil overlords sitting in our desk chairs planning to take over the world. Most of us are students/young guys and gals who just wanna have a good time with a fantastic game. Same goes for the people who joined us and they all are able to differentiate between ingame politis and the real character of a person. I even got along with chak very well when we were still archenemies and so do I now, same goes for theTrav and all the other folks who joined us.

You sound a little bit like caradon (not in a totally psychotic way though ^^) in thinking that behind an evil game char there has to be an evil person. Let me assure you that I am very well capable of playing any kind of role in this game I chose to play.

Oh and sure this also was a political decision by the members of innsmouth, but they wouldn't have joined if they weren't certain about the outcome of this whole thing. We just have similar playingstyles in the way that both our factions always wanna be on top of the game, have the best stuff etc etc. So it was just a logical consequene to get most of the best players in this game on board to achieve this without having to rob innocents any other day.
