Still more and more people keep showing up to grab signs. This is a much bigger success than we expected it to be (especially in the first couple of hours already). I already have over 20 new people in my kinlist.

Darn it crashed.

Thanks for the ceremony, it was fun. I don't think I've seen that many people at once since I started playing. I'm really looking forward to all the trading and I hope this idea works out.

I spent a fair bit of the time only half paying attention because I had some other drama going on, but I have to admit I wasn't expecting that many people (especially since it was short notice on the forums - I dunno if there was more forewarning on IRC or something). Every time I tabbed back over the screen was practically full of hearthlings and chatter.

Well done, guys, and I hope this pace keeps up.

ok, at least the crash is good for giving me some time to thank all the people taking part at the opening ceremony. it was a strong sign that people are willing to trade worldwide and coexist peaceful.

we gave out the first village claims and a lot of village signs. so i have a good feeling about this place getting a well visited and vivid trading center. and as burgingham pointed out, it was quite a success. i rarely saw that many people at one place inside this game. i think we crashed the server solely by kinning

we hope, that we can welcome even more villages over the next couple of days. so all you villagers out there, come to Constantinople and join the trading community.

Excellent turn-out and we're glad Codexia was able to conduct the first trade after the official opening ceremony...

A peapod for jorbonzola. :P They'll be everywhere now. Looking forward to doing some more serious trading there in future.

I took videos but if I compress them, you can't read the text. Without being able to read the text, it's just a bunch of people standing in a circle for a while (and my shitty Australian connection is too shitty for me to upload anything readable or even remotely decent video-wise). You had to be there I guess. :/

Still, got plenty of screenshots. After a 2 hour journey over land and by river - somehow or another managing to miss the crucial crossing points and spending far too much time walking on land - the Codexian delegation were among the first guests to arrive. After all the hurrahs were done after the Opening Ceremony, some celebratory sparring took place before signs were handed out and we all went on a tour of the town.

The dwarves of Diamondfires have discovered a good route through a couple of hops to get to Constantinople, and are keen in getting a roadsign and an embassy spot. Please PM me for whom I need to kin to work this out.

Best thing would be to pm juhubert, he hasn't been on for a day or two now, but I am sure he will show up today.
