I'm a serious smartass, what can I say.

I'm sure your mother's told you a trillion times to never over-exaggerate.
Rhiannon wrote:because those people work at the total picture. They aren't just macroing 2 stats. They are lugging huge amounts of lumber/supplies for buildings, they are farming and increasing their crop Q, they rasing acros the board stats and attributes in effort to PLAY the damn game and build something legit and with pride.
You can pop-up a building in a couple of hours. A Mansion, with lag field planted, in a couple of days. A griefer will need to go back out hunting bears and eating their meat to get their Strength up again. A griefer will also need to get rings again (assuming their's were taken when he was summoned offline) which means trading or going to their supply village. Crop Q for the village is back almost instantly assuming you have alt-vaulted supplies (which should be done every other harvest). Failing that, talk to some of your trading partners. Hell, I ended up with Q80 seeds for planting Mansion straw at 'nople just because I asked some neighbours while they were harvesting their lagfield. And unless your entire village was online when it was attacked, there are probably a few people the griefier didn't kill. People who'll be able to help everyone else get back up to speed.
Time-wise, you should easily have your village back when he's got his Strength back. Particularly if, as has been mentioned, the crops weren't grief harvested. The time to come back there-fore becomes approximately the same for both. While they do have the advantage of most likely being full tradition, it's still a large pain for them to grind back to change, grind up skills again, then grind back to full tradition before they attack again.
I mean look, yes it sucks but it's not un-recoverable and certainly not a case of a billion times easier for the griefer. For all intents and purposes, being able to summon them while they're offline is a pretty big boon for the village in question and effectively guarantees death for the attacker. Like the griefer though, you are going to have to work at it and make a deliberate attempt to hunt them down and kill them.
Rhiannon wrote:Most villages are only a few people. Not 50 robots who assign themselves 1 task and specialty. Losing a well rounded character is 1000 times more destrctive than a 2 stat murder alt and you very well know it.
Well-rounded characters are shit. It's easier to get 5 skills up to 40 than it is to get 1 skill up to 100. And it's better to get 1 skill up to 100. Most melee / combat characters aim for at least 200, which is a lot of LP.
Rhiannon wrote:Grinding up 7500 for ranging means NOTHING when you also need the attributes to see and track not to mention fight or kill and scents last a very short time.
Summon killing while someone is offline == very low skill requirements.
Rhiannon wrote:If placed side by side the two issues ARE a complete waste of time as the one side can take months to do and 20 minutes to destory while the griefer can be killed, reborn and back to strength in a macro week.
He'd need a lot of STR FEP to one punch your walls again though and that, I suspect, takes a little longer. I'm also sure your farmers could be back to farming in a "macro week" too but macro's (or people who have the time to do nothing but wander around and kill bears all day) are an entirely separate issue. People who have more time to spend will always be at a greater advantage than those who play a lot less.
Rhiannon wrote:I've played this game just as long as you have and I've built and rebirthed and done hunters, farmers and jack of all trade characters. I've moved and restarted and rebuilt and everything else you have mentioned. Yet i've never once macroed or cheated. I KNOW how hard it is to build a nice village and make something and I also knoww how EASY it is to make macroed greifers because I've watched assholes do it on this game since I found it.
Then I assume you saw KlauE get killed five times in a row on the last map and to be left with nothing.
Rhiannon wrote:As for alpha...again...so you are gonna make a cake...you put the milk in the bowl and smell it SOUR...only a fucking MORON would then continue to add the flour, eggs, sugar ect and expect the cake to TASTE GOOD! The alpha shit is a laugh, you fix things and then move on. THAT is alpha.
See Announcement forum. Soak point increase for Mansions, Houses, Strong Boxes etc... That's Alpha.
Rhiannon wrote:As for community assistance, Ive never seen it from anyone of those like yourself. Only from same styled peacenik players. If it were true it wouldn't have been a couple midrange players who took out the last 2 NE griefers. Sure I've seen claims but never seen it in action. Otherwise in 8 hours I think I would have seen all the mighty justice dealers all over greifed scenes like those last week and tonight. But listen?...crickets...and look...calm still air...LOL
That's because rather than take the opportunity to make an appeal for help and make friends, you've pretty much pissed off every group who's capable of assisting you by attacking everyone as if you're the only person who's ever had their pixels destroyed. You talk about scents decaying. Well they don't decay so fast that some of the more experienced (and better equipped) fighters in the game couldn't pop-out to Ravenholm, grab scents and track your culprit down. It takes an hour to cross a super-grid without knowing the rivers. It takes 20 mins or less to cross one if you know where to cross. The thing is, you need to have good relations with those people.
