Yeap, I think this is it. I don't think anyone, who doesn't understand their lalguage, will crush into this place, stealing and breaking stuff. You gotta know that there's something valuable inside. A random dude attacking a village? then he must be sure he has powers to face whole village community alone. which i think is not possible.
I suppose it was a diversion or\and they have somebody, working as an insider. Anyway, knowledge of their language is a necessity.
