Welcome to Haro

We are now accepting members! We have a lot to do before our city is as grand as the mission statement below! Please go to This Thread if you are interested in joining:

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6020

"In the end, the land was wiped clean, and the world was crumpled and torn into new and unfamiliar shapes. Land masses that have never been seen or heard of grew and grew. Nothing was spared, neither hearthling nor beast."

- Austin Garrett (Agarrett)

The time is near. Soon an imposing threat will appear, a new world. The wilderness will rain again as it did in the beginning of the second and first world. Who will be the pioneers, and who will be those who wait for the land to come and settle the land before they fallow. I propose that a town is made, a new city on a clean slate.

This humble gathering of players shall hopefully become a trading area since there will no longer be a RoB. Therefor, we shall take up the responsibility, and hope people come to trade with us. Instead of last map, where the usually area to trade was cluttered with unsightly things, this area shall be beautiful and clean, allowing deals to commence with much more pleasure.

There will be a grand town center where bids and trades will commence and goods will be sold. A large market street will be offered to those who wish to trade their goods. On the outskirts of the city will be large farms with animals and crops, to provide the towns with food that will be sold on designated farmers' market days.

Festivals for the celebration of the coming and going of seasons, holidays such as Christmas, and the day each year to celebrate the founding of the town. Hatred and battle will not be brought upon the town unless good reason is provided. The town will be protected by all costs.

These grand dreams can only come true with you, the humble worker who never thinks that the Haven and Hearth community will look at you for your achievement. With you, we shall turn the Haven and Hearth community into a era of prosperity and great wealth. Let us venture forward!

Thanks to Yolan for giving me inspiration with his large Brodgar! thread.

Only one more person until we have 10 people! I am nearly positive that we are one of the largest organization of players on the map so far, probably including the goons, WV, and New Brodgar.

It seems that you just send a PM to Agarrett to get in. Otherwise there would be various posts throughout this thread about joining since we've picked up new members since this thread started.

Not sure if you're still online, but if so I can send the hearth secret over to you. If not, you'll have to wait until Agarrett logs on tomorrow.

As for the status of Haro itself, things are going very well. At this point I seem to be heading the exploration side of things. I'm ready to domesticate some chickens and need another 750 LP for Wheelmaking. We have a semi-dedicated fisher while Garrett and I get rabbits from the surrounding forests. All in all, this seems to be the place to be.

Yes things are going nicely, I made a new cupboard and put the others on stone to protect against decay, I'm stocking the right cupboard with food, the middle with wood and the left one with tools. Consider all the food in the cupboard public, try to leave extra food their so people can maximize their variety and lower the FEP bar size, I'm able to get it down from 110 to 70-80 with various types of ants and fish. Also the Plaice fish in the lake to the north look to be our best source of perception food until we find carrots so I suggest people fish in the lake (they do not seem to be found in the river), we now have a good supply of taproot for equipping those newb poles.

A number of boats have been started and we have two wagons bringing in wood, remember to go FAR away to pick up the wood so newbs can grind sticks from the village area and we have firewood, consider filling up on branches every time your out foraging for food or exploring.

I recommended to my friends from my old village PM Agarrett and join up as well.

Well well well, when I get on, I see 5 new PMs, plus the base has been significantly improved, and we have a boat. I am very impressed with the progress so far, and I can't wait to see what happens when the village is actually started.

Sorry for the double post but we now have a blog:

Plus, a goal for us is now to make backpacks for ourselves.

We have encountered some strange people with 7 hearth fires somewhat near our base.

If this is yours, we would like to communicate with you about our neighborhoodly situation and whether or not to set up trade relations, etc.
