The Birth of an 'Empire' - Introducing Ironwell

Postby Sarge » Tue Mar 30, 2010 10:03 am

Since it has become increasingly difficult to source new members at a rate satisfying the massive demand of our rapidly growing community, I feel it necessary to introduce our community publically, in order to allow us the freedom to openly advertise bulk vacancies justifiably.

We are the proud owners of mines of all three non-precious metals closely located to one another, but not close enough to successfully manage under a single village banner. We have therefore adopted a hub-and-spoke type model where each mine will be managed under its own village idol with its own name, taking care of its own village matters independently by en large. The conglomerate will however be managed, as far as matters that concern the greater good of its existence, by the governing body of Ironwell.

We proudly introduce Ironwell.

For those that are interested, we have many vacancies available - those that may be ineterested, keep an eye out on the forums for the adverts.

As always, way ahead of you :P
Nah it is nice to see others thought of the same model we have. I think I can leak some information here. We soon will be opening one of our many minetowns to the public. It is pretty much in the center of the world, though we have towns on many supergrids. But that town (name will be announced soon) is supposed to be a trade center for everyone who is willing to set up his embassy there.
I hope you will have your own trading place there too and rage is not too mad at me to deny it.

If you are under this impression, then many others will be too, so let me clarify: Rage is not a part of Ironwell in its entirety, we are however on friendly terms with his outfit.

...and we welcome all trade, we are currently focusing massively on infrastructure and human capital set up, trade will be sporadic until we are more settled.

I don't understand why you would give a mine a village claim. Isn't a player claim enough?

Anyways, you seem like a pretty cool guy who knows what he's doing. I wish you and your village luck, and perhaps Ironwell and Prontera can get some trading going, eventually. :3

Then another town can set up village claim there and remove your claim.

FFS this guy and his group were given an Iron mine with a tin mine really close. The Iron mine was covered by a Village idol as well as the 2 mansions and well developed farms with 50Q seeds planted. Needless to say they ALL left the village, I'm guess to go visit their NEW mine........ by all I mean Lawspeaker and Chieftain.

Sometimes you cant even help newbs.

PS I dont even think they have newbs left in the village to grind out lawspeaker and claim with.

I would like to add that Ironwell now has a co-settlement, Copperfield, led by me.

Not only are you ignorant, you are also an ass for making assumptions without fact... well either an ass or a typical hot-headed teenager. So let me help you back on the bus: We have recolated to a new iron mine, copper mine and tin mine, our own hard work. Don't believe all the shit you hear from Rage either, he's a great guy and a good friend of mine and that is why I feel qualified to make this statement: He is also a self-centered egotist with a bad temper and he knows that, even though he has a hard time admitting it.

...and yes, I still consider him a friend, even though he's been a right cunt about this. He will again cool down at some stage and become the pleasant self he normally is and drop the instigation of destruction propaganda.

Absolutely, and my apologies, I didn't leave that unmentioned deliberately, but for the sake of urgency communicated our conglomerate under the banner of Ironwell as the collective entity.
