Hopefully one of our native Japanese villagers will chime in to explain it authoritatively, but Edo is the old name for Tokyo. Adding the "O" to it has generally been translated as "honorable". Mura simply means village. So, "honorable Edo Village". Sorta like calling your town Constantinople or Sodom after a real city.

"O" is a kind of an honorific prefix, but let me just call it a "cuti-fier" for this one which only makes it sound cute or funny.
