There are still mines to be found, especially cave mines. I know of one cave with 2 unclaimed copper mines, and someone even found a surface silver mine just a few days ago. The outer grids are definitely the best place to look.

Cave mines are a pain in the ass, though. Long distance that you can't use a crossroads to get through, easy to get lost in, etc.

Just go to the far outer grids where laws don't apply and where there's an average population of 10 per supergrid.

cave mines aren't very wanted. unless of coarse it's a precious metal. But, still even then, I wouldn't use one much at all.

Well I've finally chopped down the part of the palisade. The cave is massive and I guess you can't say I 'found' it because it was already an established mining town, a huge one for that. The Palisade, although over 3/4 rotten stretched at least 1000 spaces in every direction, yet there wasn't a single house. I guess the people who lived there died a year ago when they ran out of food (There was literally no crops planted. Not joking)
