15 of your point's for a bar of steel...but at what Q? What does wall grade mean? I have some mixed 60's Q steel on hand I can trade for some soil, I'll give you 3 or 4 bar's max per large chest at this grade. If this is ok with you put me down for 2 of the large chest's of the 80+Q soil and let me know when your ready to do the trade.
The Q of my steel will do nothing but go up in the coming day's so the 60's Q will soon be under my lowest Q, unless we lose track of the tick count on the cooker's and get a low Q by mistake we will be well over this Q with all steel produced. This will only make it more valuable and I will not be able to extend the same offer for the same amount of soil, we will not discus this any more as it is not now but in the time to come, I only wanted to keep thing's in the open.
Thanks
I don't trade in high quality steel is what I mean.
I will speak with the other merchants and see if we should accept it or sell it, but the general consensus before was not to bother, for the same reason high quality steel armor/swords aren't on that list.
The price is because natural resources are in demand, as you see on the first day I have 4LCs+ of q80+ soil asked for, I can only dig so much a day

I also have a trade for 2LCs of it prior to this thread.
As for steel per LC of soil, 1 LC of soil goes a long way, a lot farther than 4 steel when you can easily produce steel in batches of 12 or more to make those 2 1/2 days spent actually very lucractive. The thing with higher quality steel is that if we want high quality steel, we make high quality steel. Unless someone was offering say q150+ steel it wouldn't be worth much to go out of our way to purchase it as it means nothing with it, we can't use it for selling armor or weapons for obvious reasons.
As it stands:
7 Steel Bars ~= 1 LC q80+ Soil
If I offered you a 2x rate on q60+ steel that would:
A)Throw off prices, steel is very easy to produce at that quality, I often use q50~70 steel for gates that I buy, so I know there's a lot of it out there and it's very very common
B)The steel prices already assure that if you spend your time and do let's say 30 smelters, you could buy a
lot of items. If I added a multiplier it would only hurt people as I'd have to lower the price on lq steel for the multiplier to work.
As it stands if you do 30 smelters (common for lq/midq steel), that's 60 Steel Bars
60*15 = 900 Pts
As you see that leaves me with a possible problem as steel is very easy to massproduce and in fact should always be mass produced unless you're specifically doing high quality.
Perhaps this is unfair, perhaps it isn't, I'll bring up the point to all our merchants, and we can also discuss this in PMs between me and you.

And aside from the monocle im interesting in getting a bear cape and leather pants. ill pm you on irc sometime DoG
Our price was set prior to this thread, so it stands as it was. Monocle prices raised since I'm not a silk maker and didn't grasp the price of silk of that quality, I underpriced it greatly.
