Whats with the trade restrictions?

The only thing factions don't trade, or don't trade openly, are rings, thane rings.

Compareable to WMDs on earth. People want to have their own and as many as possible, but they don't like it when others have them.

It'd be nice to be able to get a thanes ring. It'd also be nice to be able to get more than one type of axe. It'd also be nice if an iron mine spawned in the middle of my village. All of these are things i've accepted will probably never happen.

I'm the kind of person that when someone says "You'll never be able to do that." I have a drive to prove them wrong. I'm all for working towards having a world where trade exists and flourishes free of raider scum and villainy. I have a problem with people treating me like a know nothing nobody. "Oh, your not wearing a merchants robe and plate armor, i dont have to care about you." is the mentality i seem to get from people in-game.

Its looking like the forums are close to the same without the limitations of distance *sighs*

If you want good Q so bad, join one of the different powerful factions capable of producing thanes.

edit/ Joining a faction for the items you can get isn't going to make you very trustworthy though...

well i have a forge ring dont really need it so yeah i have some items he may want and I have a trade partner that can get me silver now

Which is mostly the reason i havent done that. I dont brown nose to get what i want. If i wanted to do that, i wouldnt have posted here in the first place. And i dont really care about uber-quality. I care that i cant get ANY quality of some items.

Specifically, i'm wanting to get arms and armor. Including;
Dragons Helm
Plate Armor
Soldiers Sword
Merchants Rings
Monocle

The quality i'm not really worried about so long as its around q20-30. It seems like no one in my area is willing to even consider trading anything for these items.

To be quite frank with you, I can't really take you seriously if asking for around q20-30 gear, it displays to me that you probably are inexperienced and have nothing worth my while. Dragon Helms take gold, gold isn't cheap, no one makes q20-30 dragon helms. Plate Armor takes steel, steels a bitch to make, with a good anvil and hammer q20-30 steel becomes q100 plate armor. Soldier swords are the same thing. AD sells q1000 merchant rings. AD/Sodom sells around q100 monocles. Notice how different those numbers are?

If you looked at the bigger factions list you could have found some of the items you were looking for. Then when doing your trade to get those, you could have inquired about the items they don't list as selling. That would have caused this thread never to be created and you to not bitch about people not trading when really, trade is quite lucrative and you can buy almost anything.

Thanks for wasting my time reading through 3 pages of shit hoping it was about something more interesting instead of a noob looking to buy shit qualities of items that require high-grade materials.

Yes, I travel to villages too, so distance is not an issue.

There are only quality limits, on most items.

Soldier's sword limit is around 100, same as plate armor. Monocle, I doubt anyone makes higher than us (q100), but it's possible, I haven't tried new silk thread in a LONG time, could probably make higher... merchant's ring, no one ever stopped selling.

And ya know what, i've been talking to said factions, and as far as i've been told talking to people in-game, i flat out cannot get weapons or armor or even steel. they simply wont trade it. So at this point, i could care less about shit quality, because having a low quality item is better than not having the item at all.

Thankyou for being condescending and downright rude, i'll advise my people to avoid you when trading in the future <3
