WTB ranger bow

Postby Butko » Wed Oct 27, 2010 11:01 am

Buying ranger bow, as good q as you can give me. Price is negotiable and paying in cavebulbs. Only problem is, my village is almost on the edge of world and I have an alt for trading. YOu have to have village and lawspeaker or chieftain position to invite my alt to your village (to be able to teleport to you). After we make deal I leave village and your village will lose 25k authority! I pay this authority as some additional payment in cavebulbs.
At later I will buy some other weapons and armor as well! But first I need good bow to hunt down those bears around me :D

P.S.: I buy minimum q75 bow, but I prefer better Q!!!

I hope you have really high marksmanship, otherwise I'd suggest investing in a high Q sling instead.

Edit: Darn you Koya, faster than me.

MM is not so needed here since I shot bears from boat. With good ranger bow I will one-shot them so aiming speed does not count. I need damage!

Without sufficient MM your aiming bar won't fill at all. So either you can waste quiver after quiver until one shot finally hits or you'll invest a bit into MM.

I have enough MM to get at least 75% chance to hit. Enough for start :)

to shoot 75q ranger you need 225 mm + good arrows
Your damage from ranger bow will be cut by mm

Did you find that out by trying to shoot with a sling? Because that's not even slightly comparable.

RAnger bow is 3x slower aiming, so how hard is to use a math here?

Base aiming speed is in relation to other weapons. A ranger's bow aims at half the speed of a wooden bow and one-sixth the speed of a sling. This means that a person with 300 marksmanship and a ranger's bow would aim at the same speed as a person with 100 marksmanship and a wooden bow and as a person with 50 marksmanship and a sling, assuming that none of them are limited by the EML of their weapons and ammunition.

Harder than you think.

Also remember that bears are living beings who move around every once in a while. Doing so would most certainly lower your aim gauge, prolly down to zero again.
