I'm not trying to derail your thread or be mean or anything, but I also agree that the price is a little unreasonable, especially for steel that is below q100...

I'm not saying that the amount of work isn't reasonable, but a bar of silver per bar of steel is a lot more taxing on a silver mine's resources than it is to make the steel itself. Plus, you can make a lot of things with the silver bars (for example, a stock pile of 20 or so silver bars can last a major faction for a long time) when you need a few steel bars for a single plate armour or a couple steel bars for a sword...
