-sigh- I've had a good day so i'm in the mood to argue with people.

Thats the point. You have no idea how to use rustroot until you discover it. Could you invent a lightbulb without having first discovered electricity?
swaith wrote:BOOKS - perhaps make use of the cartography skill or make a similar skill called writing / reading, so that people with a recipe can write it down in a 1 / limited use item with the writing skill. for instance u might have to craft a book of a certain q for certain recipes, different sized books for more uses etc,
items required could be things like, parchment x 5, leather x2, string x 1 - or maybe have it so the q effects the uses of the book, every 10q is 1 use
book binding as a seperate skill to be used with sewing
Since discovery was implemented that has been suggested at least 7 times or so, and in more detail and practicality
swaith wrote:hi all, im a little worried about posting again after the lovely comment from sabinati - a global moderator who didnt think "get fucked" broke his own rule
"4. Inappropriate Content
No excessive swearing, posting malicious links or disturbing images. That includes NSFW images."
There is a thread for that already, stickied as well.
swaith wrote:no we all know how it works and in a lot of cases it stops character a going 100% in say farming and nothing else so we dont get 1 dimentional characters, BUT i suggest either letting items taken from village claims to be discovered when they are put in the inventory as opposed to having to be manufactured (leather for instance needs to be taken from a vat, bear fur from a rack etc etc)
so that people in villages can share the items out to those who can make use of them without waiting for that person to discover them.

Stopped reading after that,"
idiot, i didnt say that at all, anywhere, im talking about recipes, perhaps reading past the first word would help you moron.
Well I assume, there are people already onto layers 2 and 3, and possibly 4 if they are determined.. but I am quite sure that you are not among them
swaith wrote: im not planning on necroing some long dead post from 3-4 years ago
Half the point of the search function is to stop mindless idiots posting the same thing every month, and its other half is to make using those threads to your advantage, instead of a new thread you can either bump them by expanding their idea with your own, or at least linking them in your thread to build a clearer picture of what you are saying.
swaith wrote:and for reference sabinati swearing at all after a simple suggestion is excessive in any account,
I think that after all his experience here he knows that what you need is a bit of force behind the rejection of your idea to make you get the point. it obviously didn't work. And again, once is not excess
swaith wrote:+1 to you ninja for defending something you know nothing about.
Perhaps you just know nothing of my knowing something, you just don't see that I know something and think I know nothing
and no, that is not meant to childishly attempt to confuse anyone, that is just my way of pointing out that you seem like an arrogant prick
swaith wrote: Excessive : here is its meaning, its not a measure of quantity more the fact that he used it in an unnecessary manor
Oh and thats not it's actual meaning, unless you are so cool that you change the meaning of words to fit your argument.
have I missed anything?
EDIT; it appears i did. +1 painhertz's post. I fully agree
