Good old times?

Postby Korolho » Sat Dec 17, 2011 6:29 am

So, does anyone really prefer Curiosities over Grinding?

I used to have a lot of fun back in the days where I needed to take down a forest a day....

I stopped playing, but when I came back some months ago this new system was on and... meh....

Theres not much to do anymore with your free time... you just log on, add some stuff to your list and log off... no risks of random PKs and animals....

I know there must be a lot of these threads but I just needed a new one. =)

And please I'm not trying to troll/be offensive or whatsoever, just trying to have some light here =)

You still have to forage curios and craft curios.

Geez....

I dont know why you like so much this "Badass gtfo" community of yours.

Yeah sure, I'm the moderator here but lets just act like the baws I am and say shit.

Can we just get on topic? Is it too hard to give a normal response?

"Go back to WoW"? In b4 the post?

You could try actually helping your village  , or grinding your fep, making food, etc

So your complaint is that you've run out of things to do. Lets actually take a look at this~!
So apparently you've built a hermitage or a village or designed somewhere/somehow for yourself to survive.
You've designed a system of crafting, harvesting, and mining to acquire materials for yourself to acquire the food, weapons, tools, etc. to progress.
You've got enough curiosities and/or the production necessary to acquire new curiosities.

Not hard to do so not far fetched at all!

I'm not sure what you're complaining about? You're sad that you actually get to build and do all of these things rather than deforest an area and make buckets...?
I mean, you still can and get just as much benefit as long as you've got curiosities being studied. What's the issue? You want to be rewarded for grinding buckets? No. There's no good reason to force people to do that again.

Just one quesiton:

Wasn't it decided that issues about the old system vs new system were just going to be locked and sent to hel because they just turned into a troll-fest? Isn't this the third or fourth thread that's been brought up on it in the last three or four days? Finally, what does this have to do with how do I?

edit:

If new players have a legitimate question about why there is a new system or players from w2/w3 weren't around for the change and are curious, I certainly don't mind explaining it, but as I pointed out, this is the third or fourth thread I've seen on it in the last few days.

Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I didn't start playing until well into the era of curios, but there was an idea mentioned in the other thread(in critique and ideas) about still gaining small amounts of lp for some things along with curios...I liked that idea, would give those of us out grinding(for other reasons) a bit of an lp boosts that alts won't get.

thats another thread though(even if it is the exact same topic) so I guess I shouldn't have actually posted this here.
