Get better macro protection..?

Get better macro protection..?

I've seen macroers first-hand as well as people that claim they're "good" when they macro'ed their stats and boast about it in threads and in-game.

I've also seen much smaller games running and some of which allowed me access to check out their coding and their macro protection wasn't fantastic but seemed to have blocked like 90% of macro programs. Just a thought.

Has it impacted you personally?

I don't like the idea of people using macros either, but I'd prefer the dev's weren't distracted trying to stomp it out just because you heard some stuff on a forum and felt uncomfortable with the idea that people might be doing that.

Don't forget Wyrd is going to be implemented, and will be drastically different from the current LP system to the point where macroing might not even be possible. Until then, do what everyone else does; macro or suck it up.

Such as...?

You'd also have read about Wyrd then and the sticky up the top of this forum. There's also a comment by Loftar he made once about macro'ers being an issue with the systems themselves, rather than anything being required to "code around them".

Even "the srius" games have macro's that can't be detected.

What "thought" was here? Giving you access to the source code?

the only thing that could be changed. While building dream catcher for exanple. First take the branch as "built" and then build it. Disable walking until the dreamcather (1 branch for exaple) is finished and then if someone clicks during building walk there after character ends using that branch.
I know. My english sux.

That would just make it so building stuff no longer takes any time at all. Anyways, I believe the dev stance on macroing is that if people feel the need to macro, then they're not making the game as fun as it could be.

No.
Atm we have.
Put branch in >> click build >> wait 12 sec(not sure if 12) >> move branch to the "used materials" part
I would do that :
Put branch in >> click build >> move branch to the "used materials" part >> wait 12 sec(not sure if 12)

that ruins some macros.

That's an interesting take on it. I wonder if they think the game is as fun as it could be for all those who get their villages bashed down in 5 hits by people with retarded stats that keep improving 24/7 so no one can ever catch up enough to be able to defend themselves.
