What's wrong with a "How Do I" guide mentioning brick walls? It's not too hard to make them if you have at least some brain power and good trade partners. Neither of which you have. However, in the guide I only barely mentioned them and the fact that

Spindly Taproot is fairly easy to find in wilderness with a little exploring levels. a group of 2-3 people spread out could probably have enough for their first herb table in the first day or 2nd day of playing depending on how much they play. Unless this was changed although I wouldn't see why this would be changed. It's not that hard to obtain a herb table unless you're in fact, a complete nub which based on the caps and anger over a thread i would label you as a Troll Nub.

Edit: Apparently spindly taproot can no longer be put into herb tables. When did this happen? Does Spindly taproot even have a purpose anymore...?

Either way, It's still fairly easy to obtain flax/hemp even as a beginner.

I guess it depends how you define experienced.. lol.

I wouldn't consider a player as experienced if they're going around trolling threads and too uneducated to actually make a real critique and not a troll critique like, "omg hate thread."

I just hope that a majority of these forum trollers don't actually play the game or i can see it going downhill really fast...

Oh? News to me. Last time I had spindly taproots(sooo soo long ago.) it worked for me..and I do believe it was in this world. I could be wrong on that though. It's also NOT that hard to get flax/hemp this late in the game especially with how long this world has been up.

Edit:Wow. Just tested to try to stick spindly taproot into herb table.. doesn't work anymore. =/

the reason the experienced players are saying this guide sucks is because it does. hard. rambling incoherent drivel, incomplete information (seriously if you can't name every type of seed why are you making a guide?), and just plain wrong stuff (pottery for LP? taproots for an herb table?)

there is a reason i moved the last thread to hel, it was poorly written and offered very little in advice to a new player and actually had more wrong information than useful information.

Uhm that is the same shit as before...you think this is gonna last? Dude we are not trying to collectively mock you, but face it: Not only are most of your ideas bad, this guide is even worse. Look at jackards guide to see how it is done, even if it is only for the structure.

edit: Just one example that comes to mind. Why the fuck don't you post avus guide on how to defend towns when you mention that topic?

While there is obviously no thread such as this created by the older members, you would do well to:
A)Make sure all of your information is first hand.
B)Learn to take criticism, you're "Haters gonna hate" attitude won't get you far. Especially if you think you'll be able to make threads like this, this thread is almost as bad as the wiki, people will read this and fuck themselves up. This thread will lead to people more confused than anything, you add pointless half-assed details about things that don't matter, and in some cases blatantly wrong information, or things that will confuse people starting off evne further. Do they need to know what a herbalist table is until they can make one? No. So unless you explain that you need plant fibres for it, don't even bring it up. Do you need to explain what macroers/griefers are like they're going to run into them everywhere and make this game seem like a broken down kMMORPG where everyone hacks? No. Should you make a thread half-ass and post it with 'intention of finishing later'? No.


Reality Check: You can save these in Notepad on your computer and post them when they're complete. Stop posting every idea that crosses your mind.

Not sure how you didn't understand this in the last few threads you made, but I guess you moved from Critique where 'everyone's a bully' to How Do I, what's next?

If you want to post a BASIC "how to", you dont brag about Quality, Griefers, Brickwalls ( yeah, just some good traders ) or anything like that, you should start about BASICS, how do i even start, what skills should i learn and when ( no, "dont learn swimming" is not enough ), what kinds of animals/herbs/skills/attributes etc. etc. are there, why, and what are they good for?

I totally agree with you: there should be a more complete and usefull "totally-noob-how-to" to ease the walk on the quite steep learning curve, but you`re doing utterly wrong. Not only is your work incomplete, you obviously lack basic facts yourself.

Instead of listening to the critique you just mark everyone else as a stupid troll, with you being the only person in this game able to offer help to newbs. On top of that you report my post, which contains a useful advice to the best defensive guide we have so far? Because Avu is a troll? Dude, you seriously need to get your head out of your ass and learn some objectivity. Avu is offering excellent advice here, because lets face it nobody has more experience in defending himself in this game than he does.
