Yea, actually, the old testament preaches that. You also habitually stone female members of your family for talking to men outside the family? I'm pretty sure the fairytale used modernly preaches about turning the other cheek. You know, respect, patience and humility rather than blind retaliation.

Anyhow, the power of words depends on the recipient. For a white guy, nigger means nothing, but when recieved by a black guy, it will hold power. I wouldn't expect anyone to understand the other side of the coin.
