It's self regulating. If their trade thread is really horrible and off-base as you assume, then they'll simply not get any replies or offers and the thread will sink away and they'll get the hint that their expectations were off. No need to try to set the rules yourself for something that's definitely subjective and fluctuating.

and really, here is the heart of the matter. the market regulates itself. and of course everyone is free to offer suggestions to thread posters re: their prices or offerings. some may need a little help, some may be beyond help. the ones that are pricing products well are generally going to have a big thread on page one. those who price poorly, have poor customer service, poor product offering, etc will languish in obscurity.

Actually, with things like linen, bricks and chantrelles, well-established places will pay some very pretty things in return for lower q items like those stated before, they don't want to have to deal with the menial labor and time consuming process of making 300 linen cloths/15000 bricks/30 chests of chantrelles.

I don't understand what you mean by that. That's our village's trading thread, like most of the other villages have. This thread is about how people don't search the forum before posting that they want to buy something most people are selling in exchange for something stupid.
