That is why Hermits are at a disadvantage, they have nobody to defend their villages with. It will encourage strength through unity, just like back in those times.

that balance is the worst balance ive heard... and ive made a lot of bad ones in my time. you dont need chests and containers. bring more people hurr. or port if your close by. or simply pass things over to people on the other side of the wall who can store it in your own containers.

That would be pretty hard to do with an active village defense.

if you cant think your ideas fully through and at least come up with some decents resolutions to your flaws. dont post them. im sure AAlex can handle muh more haven than you, simply by the fact he can play it, without wanting this that and every other silly idea

I'm just pointing out, H&H isnt' the easiest game in the world, so you better suck it up and get used to it. Stop being a bitch and play the game is what I'm saying, if you can't deal with it, then just leave. Cut down the personal attacks and I will cut down mine.

So take shifts on guarding the village?

The idea of no chests being brought in is easily taken care of by bringing mats in for the chests or just robbing w/e and hearthing.

You'd have to bring a lot of mats over that wall just to build one chest. This would also encourage building two walls, they can scale one wall but they'd have a hard time dealing with the second one since they can't carry it over, giving the village more time to defend itself.

Once again, terrible terrible idea.

Elaborate instead of just being really vague and ambiguous.

No, it just means that the casual players won't be able to enjoy a plethora of items, they'll just have to deal with it.

Please, I've barley received any valid criticism. If you don't have valid criticism (ninja, mopstar) then leave the thread ASAP

Getting boring now...

Lets say if Jorb DID implement this then all what would be done is literally everything would be alt vaulted, that's what I'd do and it wouldn't change anything, It would just be annoying as fuck.

Plus all it would be is a vicious circle of 'I R RAID YOU' 'YOU RAID ME, NOW I R RAID YOU!' and that would be done over and over again until one of these villages thinks 'well fuck this shit' and quits... Victory? Yeahhh...

If the game is getting boring, why are you still making suggestions?

I for one also advocate the banning of alts that are in he same village and work together.

It would be more like 'I R RAID YOU' and then the village defense is like OH NO YOU DONT, BAM BAM AGGHH WE'VE LOST THE BATTLE, WE CAN'T RAID THIS PLACE THEY'RE TOO STRONG, RETREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.

You keep saying this but your idea isn't even implemented so there is nothing to "deal with." Current seige mechanics are terrible, yes, but this idea is just plain bad. Giving raiders the ability to enter your village any time they please is just....Are you sure you've played this game before?? Sure there's the realism aspect of "it's just a wall this makes sense" but people don't play 24/7 and there are times when nobody is on at all.

It's a bad idea and it won't ever be implemented while the game's seige mechanics remain in this current state.

Deal with that.

The only times when there is nobody on is when the server is down, which means you can always have a guy guarding the village. Also, even if there were times when there was nobody on like you said, that would mean the raiders wouldn't be on either, please think your ideas through and give a valid criticism.

Yes, it did stop raiders, so then the raiders brought ladders and grappling hooks. If you're going to have village defense, you need to have raiding offense. It's only fair.

@Datoneguy
If the walls were 40 feet tall, then people wouldn't be able to shoot arrows at each other over walls. Please think of the implications already in place. Also, 10 bricks wouldn't be enough to build a 40 foot brick wall.

So because no one in your village may be on due to their timezones or just random occurrence it means no one else in the world is on either?? ...........................................................................................................................................

If a guy with 10 str and 10 agi and 1 MM can shoot through a solid brick wall, then people with swords and 50 strength should be able to break brick walls in one fell swoop.
