Scam? Really? The whole system is set up as a referral chain. How is he "scamming" by posting his personalized link?

How? Just like me saying "Here's an onion" and handing you a beet. It's a scam. Sure, it's mostly harmless, just like sending someone to the wrong youtube video, but still dishonest, and thus a scam by definition.

If it's not his link (I really don't care to look and couldn't give a rats ass), then so be it. Someone's trying to get one up on everyone else. It's all par for the course around here.

hiding this in IP temporarily for the same reason i hid the last problem thread here:

thread/poster needs dealt with or discussed so it cannot be outright deleted, but the nature of its content mandates removal

(Hel is still public, so ex. moving that PM-only RMT thread to Hel and not editing out the information or deleting the thread does not help if you are trying to crackdown on RMT)

I'm not sure if it's necessary to punish people for getting others to use their referral links/codes. Perhaps if it gets out of hand it can be consolidated into a singular thread until it is no longer an issue? As long as it doesn't become an issue of spam, I think it's alright.

i don't mind it if people have the links in their sigs, or pm them to their friends or whatever but the whole concept is retarded and jorb should kick some marketing people in the pants imo

Thank you for your quick reply. Since I started the thread I noticed a more detail answer was posted in anther thread in anthoer part of the forum an hour after I posted my question. I can understand it being mergered there since it is like content. But in the interest should the Annoument section despriction be changed to Inlcude Salem in its desrption. If that was the case I would have looked there first and posted in the excisting thread instead of starting a new one.
