Please stop making ridiculous requests!

The Place Where Bad Threads Go To Die.

I think part of SK's issue is actually that people are asking to buy things (say a Q60 pick), offering things that are perfectly acceptable trade goods (flotsams) and without the knowledge of the fact that there are threads already selling them. They usually aren't even complaining about the prices, they literally just haven't looked through the established trade threads.

Decent way to judge the popularity of a trade thread is by views btw.

what a concept!

IF everyone actually takes a look at the existing threads, or even just the "Rule" thread before creating a thread, no matter which section it is, then the forum can be a much better place. but the fact is that not many ppl do so.
complaining about other noob forumers is, imo, no use, cause they wont read it anyways.

also there is nothing wrong in making one's own trading thread when there are threads selling the same items. who knows, he/she may not want to buy from the current sellers on the forums. its ugly to tell others to use the existing buyers/sellers on the forums just because they posted first.

Sigh. What the OP is saying is not that you can't trade, buy use some common sense on what you want and what your offering. If there is an efficient trade thread that has what you want and you don't like that place, your probably not going to get that same QL item that place has or your not going to get a good deal. This is why monopolies exist.

For Saphirekink65

Your proposal is clear who is interested.
I think the prices to your village you make them.
you can not ask not to trade to those who are poor in resources, or
who is at the beginning of the game.
There is a forum for exchange, you are free to read them or not
can like it or not. Democracy is too.

Tonkyhonk-I like your thinking.

You aren't getting what this thread is about... So I came up with a scenario that may help you understand. Imagine the trading forum as a market. The villages set up their shops where people can go and trade with them. Sometimes an individual or village may come up and yell out that he has something special to trade off, like clay or silver or pearls, whatever, and people who are interested will talk, but he only has that one thing to sell so he doesn't open a shop. Then there's these people who enter the market an instantly yell out to everyone "I'm looking for X!" when if he looked around and shopped for a minute he would see that many of the shops are selling X. If you were in a market and some guy was just yelling "Hey, is anyone selling fish?" you would think he's an idiot right? Well that's how I see the people who come onto this forum and ask for bone saws or picks or something when they can easily find a thread for a village who is selling those goods.

To be fair, I have a lot of trouble understanding your points too. It seems to be that you're saying he hates the freedom of choice and wants all prices to be set in stone. The thing is, that's not what he's saying at all, he's just tired of people operating their business in a stupid and useless fashion.

you know, you can just then tell this stupid kid to check the store you know.
if you keep this argument, itll be the same as "the answer is in wiki, look it up" thing. working just the same, isnt it?
maybe this someone stupid is making a thread for his own reason, you dont force him to use the current thread.
the forum is NOT a market where there are only limited sellers/buyers you can find. always a possiblity of others who are just checking forums.
IF i want to buy me a bone saw, i would first check what is being sold on the forums of course, but if i find their price not satisfying enough or if the poster is someone id rather avoid for some reason, i would rather make my own thread.

and what im saying is everyone has the equal right to make their own thread instead of using the existing traders. if you want to sell them your own bone saw or pickaxe, you can always reply to those "stupid" threads as well. you have no right nor power to force them not to create their threads.

That may be true, but this is on par with asking "how do I get LP" in the How do I forum. The information is readily available. Hell, there's multiple trade threads which talk about selling pickaxes in their title even (I've seen at least one or two noobs trading for one of those).

It's going to annoy the more established traders after a while.

Why do so much people care about other's trade topics and prices?

How about you people mind your own fucking business instead? Make your own topic or something?

This is how market works, if you like the prices - buy, if you dont like - pm to bargain, or don't buy.

Why would you bitch and moan instead? Why would you care if someone wants to buy 90 q70 clay for a bunch of blueberries ?
