is the server Crashed? Or updating?

Today i started up haven & hearth and couldn't connect? I Looked through the forums and didn't see anything on it... Im starting to think maybe the server is crashed or Updating , but Im Not sure how to check if either one has happened. If someone could tell me where to check or what forum to check that would be much appreciated : D
