Okay, I'm kind of disappointed nobody hasn't pointed this out yet. Ladders. Why ladders? Because it's realistic. It would take 4 boards, 8 blocks, 10 sticks and 10 glue to build a ladder. You put it up against the wall and climb over on the other side of the wall. This would make raiding more realistic and more like what raiding was actually done like back in that time period. You also need two people to carry it, so it needs team work. It has to dry for 20 mins. It does not take damage while you walk with it.

Stupid walls didn't stop raiders a 1000+ years ago, Mongolians scaled the Great Wall of China was ladders and grappling hooks, so I'm pretty sure we can climb over these walls.

Please think about balance implications. This makes rams obsolete entirely.

I really don't see how, with the ladder, you couldn't carry chests over. You also would have to go in one at a time, making your raiding party more susceptible to retaliation from the native village.

If you have a valid criticism, then please feel free to share it. Otherwise, I don't really see your purpose in this thread.

I hate rams for their 24h dry time. Is there any way to balance the fact that using a ladder leaves no real trace? The ram breaks the wall and you have to fix it.

Instead of personally attacking me, try thinking it through.

Not balanced? How so? It's pretty realistic, you lay down the ladder, climb over the wall. Badda bing badda boom. The counter is to have guards patrolling your walls, yes, that's right, the counter is actual player activity.

Thanks for the valid criticism. The balance is that you can't carry chests or other containers over.

So now I have to make thousands of bricks, forage for LP, Hunt , plus a bunch of other jobs AND have my walls patrolled 24 hours of the day... Not cool.

I agree we need some kind of siege mechanic and sure your idea sounds realistic, But again needs a lot more thought.

If we are talking about realizm while your at it Jorb can remove cross roads lol :P

If you can't handle H&H, then don't play it.

But again needs a lot more thought.


How about instead of being really ambigious in your criticisms, you point out specific flaws?

lol'd, I really wish I could play 24/7, but I have a life unforchantly.

And I pointed out the flaws, I told you...

In your idea, All I have to do is be away for 10 minutes and some guys hop over my wall and raid the place.
