Starting a Democracy\Have mine\New players look her

Postby ThirdEmperor » Thu Jul 08, 2010 4:19 am

After a long and painfull journey I have discovered the perfect spot to set up a village. This village will be a democracy, anyone will be allowed to join, and no one will have their possesions taken from them. There will be only six laws, the punishment for braking them will be decided by vote:

1) No one will steal from, vandalize the property of, or kill or attack any other villager

2) All villagers will trade their goods for a fair and reasonable price, charging outrageous prices for a item because another villager needs said item desperately is considered thievery.

3) No one is to claim the town mine, farm or any QL spot designated communal by the finder.

4) No one is to allow others into the village without first asking approval of the other villagers. This will prevent n00bs from letting in raiders.

5) All villagers will place their lots at least ten tiles away from any other lots.

6) No one will destroy resources (trees, boulders, town farm crops) simply to grind LP.

Other than these six laws the villagers will be left to themselves, any other matters concerning the village will be put to a vote, with the position of lawspeaker existing only to carry out the vote.

We have a town farm, several fishing spots, a Q10 ball clay spot, Q38 and 16 acre clay spots and a mine (type unknown as there is a abandoned claim on it.

I myself am not on enough to run a village, so once the town idol is built we will hold a election to determine who the LS shall be.

Yeah, the four laws thing is a result of a sloppy computer, I saw and fixed that, but it didn't change for some reason.

Yep, it's gonna take weeks to get anything decent out of that lowly Q10 clay spot, especially seeing as we've got a Q38 acre clay spot ten feet away.

Your only making yourself look like a jackass.

I was talking about his mocking of the fact that we have a Q10 clay spot, despite the fact that we also had a Q38 one.
That is jackassery.

ah, and about your village:
This dudes a idiot for trying to hire more than two workers. Three or more and they can start a union, and then they'll charge him for every bit of work they don't do.
