I think you should rise your stats evenly. You can ignore charisma and psyche I think, but all the rest is important.
I'm a newbie too but I read wiki a lot and that's how I figured that out =)

See if there's villages in your neighbourhood, become friends, show that you're useful, if they get to know you they usually also accept you in the village, fresh blood is constantly needed in a village whether it be small, medium or big sized. Don't expect to be taken into a big/strong village yet though...

I think most off the villages are full now (i mean that they don't need anymore people) or are abondoned. It will be hard to find a village for you, and your low stats just makes it harder...

Or maybe browse through threads and PM the person who's recruiting? Altough i don't think they would accept you in their village with your low stats...
