Thoughts on how to post in Dwarves & Thieves

Greets

Been lookin at some of these posts and I thought bout doing a lil "how to" guide on how peeps looking for villages and villages looking for peeps should post.

Hope you like it.

Beginning thoughts:

For the peeps looking for a village.

What kinda village do you like: or more importantly what type of gameers do you like. Do you like the Griefers or the Farmers? Do you like the laid back or the authoritarian type?

What do you like to do in the game: Do you like to be a farmer? do you like to fish? or do you like to build roads all day long? whatever you like. tell them in your posts/replies, and be specific. When I tell people that i like to cook. i explain to them that to me a cook is one who cooks, he sets up the FEP plan of the person(s) he is cooking for and stuff. I also tell them that, to me, a cook does not have massive farms. but relies on people to supply him with the ingredients.

Do you have requirements?: Do you have a certain timezone you would like the village you are joining to be? Does your village have to have a certain Q of natural rescources(clay, soil, water)? Does your village have to have a mine(and what kind of mine exactly?) does your village have to be organized? What about a wall, does it haveto have a brick wall or just a palaside or heck just a roundpole fence(keep in mind most villages wont answer these questions in public forums, u'll get pm's)

just remember the more information you give to the village recruiters, the more they have to see if you would be a good villager or not. and none of us want to goto a village where we will have to leave in a week cause of miscommunication.

Now for the village recruiters:

It's basically the same thing. Tell the players who are looking for a village, what kinda village you are, what kinda peeps your looking for and if you have any requirements that need to be filled Before they can join with you.

remember folks, the more info you give the less communication mishaps happen.

Hope that helps you peeps!

Bumpy bumpy. I am support this idea.
"Normal" is only a difficulty level in video games - Aso11
Jackard: Koya only raises the lynx so he can molest it later
Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...
"And no im not native to english, I was born in the usa." - A very bad troll.

Dwarves and Thieves doesn't need a sticky guide on how to look for a village. It's self-explanatory.

Actually, you'd be surprised how many people don't know how to present themselves in posts. Following a simple guideline, new players could actually answer a few things when applying which they will be asked anyway if they're even given a time of day.

I support this as well.

Fuck that.

Read the New CockHaven recruiting post. We are swimming in people. Sure, they are from the shallow part of the gene pool, but we have 13 people 24/7 making bricks and asking stupid questions with enough left over to build log cabins in major traffic sections and fill our storehouses with q 10 unfinished fishing poles.

Progress is pain.

I guess it depends on what you want your village/villagers to be like. That would be an argument against a guideline like this, but I think that for new players it might be good to know what people usually wish to know when deciding whether to accept a new member.
