A quiet life

Postby Lusewing » Sun Sep 05, 2010 2:24 pm

What happens when you don't want to join a village but you don't want to be all alone in the world? Well you could always come and set up camp in my area :D.

I have a nice little place set up but I have yet to see a single person so while the idea of a village is a daunting one the thought of having a few people setting up around me would be rather nice. I would like to create a little collection of farms that can work together to grow a comunity and help new players grasp the basics of the game in a safe(ish) enviroment.
Located in B2 I am about half an hour away from Nople. I can provide both starting seeds (Wheat and Hemp included) all about q20-30 as well as provide help to set up your own Palisade. Food will also be provided while you get on your feet as I have found my love for baking has flooded my store rooms. Bandages will also be provided as I have two Ram's (no ewes) to provide the wool for them.

The local area includes Pine forest's, a large grassland and 2 Swamp's as well as a large lake with a puplic kiln, good q clay and a river connection to a boating network. There is also a few abandoned places up for grabs for those who want a fixer up er.

So what do I get out of all of this? Well hopefully a few friends and a chance to help people out. It might seem strange but I enjoy helping others and to be able to see their farms grow around me.

If you would like to know more just post below. If you would like to see about taking me up on the offer then send a PM. ;)

Until the entire group of you wall-less, defenseless kind hearted folks are raped and murdered by monkey men in the woods.

This is going to end badly.

I know very well that there are rather cruel people people in H&H who get their jollys but destroying every little thing owned by the unwary and new however that is why I want to try and do this.
I already have my own wall up, it might not be brick but it is sturdy enough and I have the resorces saved to help others get their own walls up quickly to. Grifters are lazy so n' so's so with luck most will just move on. Besideds do you think new players would be safer elsewhere? Most Villages wont accept players who are completely new to the games and those that do end up being even more of a target to Grifters just because they tend to offer more of a 'challenge' which I am guessing the scumbags enjoy (I can't really understand the fun of making people unhappy - most of the time they just seem to just destroy things)

People are so paranoied on the game, they are seem so certain that every other person is either going to kill them or rob them. I want to provide a place and a start that can show new players that it is only a small percentage that are like that.

If they want to move away after getting my help they are free to (something most Villages frown on for good reason) and they don't need to set up camp right next to me - they are free to pick their own place and how much space they want.

We have more than enough jerks in the game - can't I be a Carebear?

Just and update.

Things are going really well and I now have two people living around me, one of which has taken over an abandond place and it is nice to see the old place fixed up. Seed ql is rising and of cause anyone who wants to start around us (it is so nice to say 'us' now)will also beafit from this. I can also now offer (if that person wants of cause) a milk cow, pregnet and already producing milk, once a new player has made and filled a trough completly to provide for her. I can also tame sheep for players though I have not yet gotten around to breeding them yet (taking it stady to make sure I can provide for them all) Pigs can also be tamed if you like but I am just sticking to sheep and cows.

So if you are looking for a quite place to start out without the constraints of a village life send over a PM and i will see what i can sort out. ;)

Hopefully you don't anger anyone who can break palisades? Considering it's not a village this means hopefully none of you do.

That's for sure :D . I've met one head guy from a village to the north and after a bit of a weary hello and chat we have started to give a friendly hello each time we pass. Probably going to be doing some trading with him as I know where there is good soil and he has access to good water and clay (I am not about to take anything from anyone)

I am not really in the business of peeing people off, what i really like doing is helping people as I plan to do with one person I met on one of my many scouting trips (nice person but setting up on a river with only a stick fence :? ) Anyway Life is good and will remain so until I die - it happens to us all at some point and I might give village life a try if it happens but for now i am still learning so why not help others who are in the same boat.

If it does happen that you die, give me a PM about joining our village, you seem like a nice person to have around ;)
