Large walled town looking for villager(s)

Postby overtyped » Fri Oct 01, 2010 4:04 am

I own and run a very large palisaded city, I have so many seeds i cant find the time to plant it all .... im filled with hundreds of vegetables and resources. Im looking for a english speaking player that would want to do a farming job in my city. Youll have more work than you can believe with me. Send me a PM! and when i say im looking for a english speaking player i dont mean broken korean english where you only know half the words your seeing.

Regards, -Master of the Farm-
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

A different approach may work for recruiting.

We all had three posts once.

It is not asshat to help people.
That was constructive criticism.
For his benefit.
He might appreciate it as he insisted on good English. Who knows? English might not be his first language and he may have been looking for help. Seemed like it.
No need to be offended on somone elses behalf.

There is enough offense in the world without multiplying it.

English?

It's someone not somone
and else's not elses.

Hypocrisy is an interesting thing.

It is not hypocrisy, it is a spelling mistake.
Come on.... Are you people looking for reasons to gang up on the 'newbie'?
It is clear that I have offended people, as this is to be avoided In future I will be careful to phrase my posts with more politeness.

While I think it is good to jump to other peoples defense, It is surely presumtive to assume that someone else cannot take a constructive reply, which contained no insult or overtly derogatory tone. It could easily have been taken as humourous considering the OP's stated desire for good English.

I will not persue this as it appears to be an escalating off topic thing, why not let the OP decide if he is offended or not?
In any case, whether he is or not, I apologise for having offended other forum members even if accidently. It is not always avoidable on forums to anticipate and provide for everyones sensibilities so we just have to be a bit tolerant and do our best.

I was just being a jerk cause it was an easy target :D I won't lie, I make spelling and grammatical errors all the time but unless they are big, I don't need people to point them out for me.

I too found those errors fairly ironic, but that weren't anything too major so it wasn't really necessary to point them out.

Welcome to the community and I too apologize for the off-topicness.

Thanks for the welcome.... and the initiation ;)
I would hate to throw badness on peoples communal appreciation of something as unique and enjoyable as H&H.
I will try not to.
