Blue Moon Recruitment Thread

Postby xweetok59 » Sun Oct 17, 2010 6:36 pm

So, i just started a new village, and i'm looking for villagers. My farm is still improving. It is not big, but it has everything.

There is also an palisade up.

This is what i am searching for:

Hunter: Hunts. 2 hunters needed.

Farmer: Farms. 1 farmer needed.

Animal Keeper: Tames and cares for the animals. 1 needed.

Villager: Do what ever you want.

Noob or pro, i don't care.

If you are a noob, i can help you out.

Currently the villages close to me are:

Wildemoor

Lost cavern

Altdrhof (or something).

See you guys, that is the right spirit. Good luck with finding some villagers, xweetok.

Although as mentioned in another thread it probably doesn't help too much to look for specific (and especially boring) professions like builder. People play that game for personal enjoyment, so they probably don't like doing only one task over and over again too much. While it is fine and necessary for a good village to have some degree of specialization, give people the space to do what they want as well.

Thanks for the tip. By the way, if villagers want to do what they want to, they can choose for the spot "Villager". Then they can do what they want.

@BrodyTheMad Yes, it's alright, it's cool.

When choosing professions you recruit for you should consider what you wuold hate to do all the time, but things people to do every now and then.

Building - Do it on an alt really, why would you just build? That's gay and boring

Farming (you don't have listed) - Is important, you should have at least one main farmer constantly raising farming and constantly farming, although in general everyone seems to farm one way or another.

Hunter - Everyone hunts, it's the best way to get LP starting off.

--
If you list professions you should try and list professions that you 'need' to help the village, unless Hunter's are specifically meant to bring back their pray in tact or get 200 survival and bring back 'the best' stuff

Anyhow, good luck with your village recruitment.

a successful and productive village is one that has access to metal, or at least the very basic tools. if you don't have a mine, start thinking about a trade relation with someone to get metal as it will make your village much more productive and your villagers happier in doing their work. your farmers will get a lot more done with metal plows, your hunters will produce better foods with a sausage grinder, and so forth. if lost caverns or altdorf are still active, they are both pretty decent folks from what i've experienced and i think both towns have access to hard metal.

also i would suggest as burg and them have said, to recruit people dedicated to farming. won't be any progress in your village if the food cupboards are empty and everyone has to spend their time fishing or something

good luck to you.

Yeah, we (The Lost Caverns) are still active.
"Normal" is only a difficulty level in video games - Aso11
Jackard: Koya only raises the lynx so he can molest it later
Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...
"And no im not native to english, I was born in the usa." - A very bad troll.
