Anyone live in the extreme west? (i.e. new SGs)

I thought I was completely alone out here, but after about 20 minutes of boating east I found fresh evidence of other players.

So, is anyone out here? I don't know where I am in the vertical axis but I'd guess somewhere in the middle. I'm a 15 minute walk from the western edge of the world. I'd like to trade and can also tell you the location of a tin mine. Would be awesome if there was a village or two out here to trade with as I have tin which isn't very useful on its own.

I've been trying to make my way to the west, but I'm having difficulties spawning a character in places that you know... aren't the center supergrid... -_-

you can only spawn in the central 5x5, you'll have to walk the rest of the way

I really doubt you'll make it without a boat. And use the map, it helps a lot. 10 seconds of seeing which river to take can save you 30 minutes of walking across riverless land with your boat.

Hm, well I'm debating what to do now. I only settled here a few days ago but I guess I didn't think it through - all the resources and possibly valuable things I'll accumulate here will surely go to waste if there's nobody to trade with. But then again, there's so many unclaimed resource nodes and mines out here.

I've edited the title of the thread - if any semi-new players want to join me we could start a great empire out here in these untapped lands!

there are people everywhere
i have found more people willing to trade about 40 min from the north west edge than where i was spawned *people just wanted to noob hunt there*

There are alot of people in west end border, all searching for new mines probably mostly for gold one + some hq resources. I bumped to at least 5-6 people in one day of exploring.
