Locating myself

Not sure if it's a right place to post, but i'll try :)

I'm pretty new to the game, so trying to find nearby villages, and yesterday stumbled upon place called UHD HQ (or simply UHD?..). There was nobody around and I ventured farther north-west. There i've found a village between two rivers, with some building on the other side of the river. I couldn't cross water because of a claim. Don't know the name of the village, couldn't get past palisade. And i didn't get answer to my shouts either.

Are these places familiar to anyone? Am I near center or edge of the world? Are there nearby villages with which i can trade?

Well if your the group type I'd advertise and try to get picked up into a village so you can simply join and start at their village using their Hearth Secret. If your the hermit type then you might as well wander around and enjoy the sites. You can always create a hearth secret for yourself and have people join you if you decide to found a village of your own.

I play with 3 of my friends and we plan on building a village in future. Currently we need a mine or a village to buy metal from, so i scout around. Hence the questions about location :)

well there used to be a world map. but the person who kept it up as been mia, so

as for where u are, cant help u there. best bet, just keep wonderin till u find something descent.

ask questions in the How do i section and look at the wiki for 90% of your answers for future questions(yea english is my primary language, but that sounds awful)
