Recruiting for my humble future village

Postby narrus » Fri Jul 02, 2010 10:08 am

I am looking for 2 ACTIVE people to join. By active I mean you play 4-6 hours a day as minimum. I sort of have 5 people but 2 of them aren't playing almost at all so I will ask them to leave. We have 5 Timber Houses, 3 are done(the active players) and 2 are just in construction which won't ever be finished. So you already got your house placed in a spot. All you need to do is finish it. We have a well of course. We have no walls and I personally think we don't need them now because the whole territory is claimed(around 4300 square m) so no worries of something being stolen. We also got 3 Log Cabins which act as Storage Houses and each holds 7 cupboards. They are free to use for everyone and no permission is needed. We haven't claimed the village yet because have a long way to go still. I personally am a farmer. I got fields of different crops and trying to raise their quality. My farming is 50 and one of rules is not to touch my crops because I want them to be kept at high quality :P
Besides farming I plant trees(planted 60+ already and will soon reach 100), bake all kinds of different food, make tea, tan hides and many more work. The other 2 are brothers playing and they are supposed to be hunters, but their progress is kinda slow too, but I like those guys and it's fun with them xD
What I am looking for is person who can progress fast, play a lot, take the role as a hunter, work with metal and anything related to this material or a cook who will cook all kind of nice food using my farmed products.
EXPERIENCE IS A MUST HAVE IN THIS GAME!
Preferably no alts and really active people.
Here is a local map I made few hours ago. Our camp is at the bottom right corner.

While I'm not going to join, here's a hint. Just claiming a territory, even if it is 4300 m2, that won't prevent thieves. All the have to do is turn on criminal acts. Sure, you can track them later, but your stuff is officially gone. Walls should be your next task.

That requires manpower too which we lack atm. I can't do everything. I spend like 8-10 hours a day just to keep the village up. And there are no people playing nearby. Loads of abandoned camps and nothing else. Plus you need Tresspassing and Thieving skill to get into a claimed territory and that together costs 50k LP.

You don't actually need Trespassing to walk on claimed land afaik, although you need it to enter buildings on said land. Also, you say there is no-one playing nearby, but there looks to be a decent rod in the north-east corner? Is that part of an abandoned place too?

You seriously can't be using 8 to 10 hours a day just keeping a little piece of shit village like that up? I have built massive palisade walls over the course of about a night so you should easily be able to do it within one play session. Its pretty important. Maybe even if you just build a little compound where you store the most valuable stuff, or even your own private stuff. Make litle blocks of land for ppl to build on.

I would like to join your village if you still have spots open.

I was staring at the local map and I just kept thinking, "Boy, why does this look familiar?" Anyways, sorry for the inactivity of late =/ but it seems I just can't focus on two at the same time Dx. If you want, I'll kill that character and you can just stuff one of your new villagers in to the timber house I made since it's not used anyway.
