Guy trespasses on my land in order to leave a threatening runestone (IM COMING FOR YOU) and then I track him to his home. He's outside, I punch him to death. He has his keys on him, to his village, his leatherworking station to the south, his mine nearby, and his friend's village. His village is dead for his irresponsibility (and of course my general bloodlust) and his friends are being robbed for everything they're worth as I type this out, because I'm not a terribly nice guy.

Kids, read the damn stickies, don't carry your keys outside your village.

there are very good times when tracking them is a good thing. Like I found trespassing scents on my hq clay node and when i went to dig up my daily amount i noticed someone leached it down 4 points. I now have a good idea of who's jewing my clay and tracking said scent was well worth it.

Digging clay leaves vandal scents. Your example has little to do with tracking trespass.

You can dig just outside the claim to lower the node Q. Chances are the guy who left the trespass was the one who did it. Just guessing
