I can somewhat understand that. But by the time he attacked me, I was half a mile away (probably in IRL distances too >_>).

Rule of thumb: If someone starts by acting like a jerk don't give them a chance to aggro on you. Once the guy indicated his style of play and showed you that he was spoiling for a fight you could be pretty certain he would never make a trading partner, or some one to exchange useful information with, let alone someone you could work with.

I'd suggest you memorize him if you can for future reference but don't interact with him.

1) I didn't trespass at all. I don't even have the ability to get into villages thats protected and don't plan on it.
2) I only shouted in frustration at the end, after telling him kindly and repeatedly that I wasn't going to take anything =/, just looking west.

Also, I actually told someone I was black in world 3 (I'm not but he had an offensive runestone right on the river I was exploring) and he attacked me verbally even though I was fully decked out in steel with a sword and he was wearing nettle and a toga.

Why?

Because people are stupid. If you apply this logic to any situation it explains alot.
