I never appreciate the deaths of people I know, but there is a lesson to be learned for new folks or those who haven't been acclimated to that side of the game yet.

Some things are worth letting go. Even if the 'griefer' was being annoying/harassing, if it isn't blatant vandalism or unprecedented murder, it'll be very difficult to find someone to really help you. Else you'll end up with a much worse situation. He died thrice to that; I died twice to a boar today because of lag causing me to be unable to respond (though the second death was funny... I didn't realize it destroyed my shoes, though I survived with 2 HHP. I stepped on a thorn). It sets you far back and teaches you things either way.

Well, I was willing to spend the effort to click on this thread, but I wasn't going to spend the effort to send a PM just to learn if the situations was close enough to bother. For one thing, sending a PM already kind of commits you, for another, I not very outgoing like that.

For future reference: it is a big world, if you want help you should at least say which part of the world you live in. A quadrant would be the minimal information, but the specific supergrid is specific enough without giving too much information.
