Impish Village Raid

They wanna to counterattack. They asked for help other polish villages.
Can you explain more of this story? Why they have attacked you?

Why? I don't know exactly. They stole from our southern area, and then later raided us from underground with a mine. We had little to no interaction with Impish before, I only knew r34d3rsci from when I randomly saw him and talked about trading. This was all very sudden, which is partially why we didn't expect this full-out raid. They probably saw the noobly gear our newer recruits brought, thought to themselves "wow, so weak! we can raid them!" and decided to do it. Unfortunately for them, we are far ahead of that..

It sounds like 3 or so people stirred a ruckus and you are slaughtering 12 or more to make up for it, you could at least talk to them and focus your efforts on those responsible. Needless to say they have a lot of good people who have a lot of friends, and none of us want more bloodshed than has already occurred.

Well, you have to understand, we're not professional raiders and this was largely unexpected.. we went and killed anyone who tried to fight us on our way in. We killed the new alts who taunted us as well. Again, surely some innocents died, but what can we do? hope they're telling the truth?
"Hello, did you raid us?"
"nooo~ not me~ I'm a poor farmer peasant~"
"Oh! ok! sorry to bother you, here, have a cake! "

When you sign up for a village, I think you take responsibility for your LS actions. Maybe if it was some rogue members of the village who raided us, I would feel much worse killing innocents, but this was an act of the village the way I see it. Maybe the peaceful villagers didn't raid us, but they support the raiders, whether they knew it or not.

Anyways, to somehow turn this into our fault would be totally unreasonable, we are victims; our village is ransacked, everything is a mess, we're vulnerable and have no real place to go back to. Is it our fault that our self-defense was good, would you blame a man for stabbing a mugger? *shrugs*

If you're a peaceful trading village with horrible combat abilities, don't raid people. <-- their moral learned
If you're a lazy bum, you'll pay for it; build palisades everywhere reasonable, make sure -every- new player you add is instructed on how to properly hand keys. <-- our moral learned

small demo of our area's tracks, it's basically everywhere. They took just about everything of value and stuffed it into the oxcart. So, most of our stole goods have been recovered, we're still missing a bunch of good quality steel that we've been working pretty hard to get. No one in Impish seems to know where that stuff went, and we've already gotten back all our iron bars and stuff otherwise.. My villagers want their steel back, so they're still continuing the raid till either they see it's not there, the village returns it, or we find it. I'd rather just quit the raid, to be honest, but I can understand they feel robbed of their work.

The real problem is now our base is completely compromised, we can't risk going back there, so it's just a matter of taking what we can with us to a far off hidden location specifically for this eventual situation :S ..

I think that's about it, might post more pics of their village if you guys really want. I always feel like people don't share enough about raids and such, it's mostly a mystery to the peaceful villages, so hopefully there's some good information here.
