Cool. Good job, I think

Why do people build so many construction posts like that in their bases? (picture 1 and 2) Is there some sort of defense mechanism involved there that I don't know?

Idol jumping? Is that similar to the hearthfire spawning trick (make a hearthfire beside the wall, try to spawn on the other side)? I searched the forums real quick, didn't find anything new in relation...

Whenever you port to an idol, or a crossroad, or a charter stone, the placement of your character near it tends to be pretty random. The devs fixed completely surrounding something like a crossroad outside walls with signs so it would jump you over the wall. Now it just says "There is no room by that crossroad."
However, I am pretty sure building a idol/crossroad/charter stone near a wall will still port you over it if they have nothing on the other side of the walls to prevent it (ie. signposts)

Oh! jeez.. some people get too creative for me >_<; who would think to go around building village idols to get into bases? not me. Course, I don't sit around trying to think of exploits...
Anyways, thanks for the info, I'll be sure to add that to my endless tome of reasons to be paranoid.
