Anyways war happens when resources are scare and people refuse to trade. If a person is sitting on the only iron node with in 200miles (in game obviously) and refuses to trade and starts build a war bastion then you have the right to take it by force.

That's somewhat rightful grounds for attacking then, if you've got hostiles not willing to at least consider diplomacy. But attacking farmers and peaceful people outright without provocation means you're a complete douchebag who hasn't been taught the basics of right and wrong.
