And those who want to, stand with the bad guys and laugh at those too weak to defend themselves.

keep going, I can see your true nature shining through like bird shit on a windshield.

You could go out and help defend your "honest people" from griefers. Range and teach your neighbours to defend themselves. I stopped by a local hermit today working inside his walls with the gate left open. I didn't run inside and kill him for laughs, I told him to shut his gate before killing a couple of nearby boars/deers and dumping them nearby (my boat was already full). I also had a lot of fun ranging in W3 even if it was just stomping smalltime punks. You've gotta start somewhere and now at the beginning of the new world is a better time than ever because the gap between the strong and the weak is still relatively small.

At the moment you're just complaining on the forum that there are bad people in the game and these bad people are bad. Instead, accept that there are bad people and work towards stopping them and helping people help themselves become safer. If you're serious become a real whiteknight and stake out an area of the world to protect. Contact those villages and ask if they need help, range for scents and so on.

SeanPan is right, step up or step aside. Until you come good on your talk people will be justified in laughing at you.

You know, I think a lot of people are missing the point. At least as far as I can tell, those "bad people" are a major point of the whole game structures. Who needs level 30 balrog warriors to be the bad guys when you have a couple raiders with no pvp restrictions and too much free time on their hands?
There are plenty of games out there with different play styles, and if people don't like the raiding/greifing/PvPing, they should either put an end to it in their area or pick a different game. As I see it, the complete freedom of player action plus the very serious possible consequences of those actions are exactly what make this game great.

Just to be clear, Barra, I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm agreeing and clarifying my opinion.

While I am in this cesspit of a thread, let me say one more thing. As far as I know, the devs want a forum that has as much free speech as possible while still being slightly or at least conceivably intelligable/useful. Some people might complain about the posting habits of some or all of the mods, but they are missing the point. The mods on this forum, unlike many other forums, are not here to either be polite themselves or to enforce politeness on other forum denizens. They are here to try to keep the forum at least slightly usable.

Not professional moderator-like behavior at all, infact, these forums have possibly the worst moderators I've ever witnessed, in terms of professional attitude. sorry to burst your bubble, but they don't pay player-moderators to be professionals with an un-biased opion on any kind of gaming forums I'm aware of, yet it still happens. Everywhere.

what kind of idiot has the audacity to come to a board and derail threads with demands on how its moderators should act? enjoy your vacation

I hate the kind of people that have to start an argument about everything on a forum.

Every mod has his own character and you'll end up mostly liking them, for example, Jackard posts hilarious posts, overall. Although when I joined the forum in World 2, I thought he was an ass :D

The forums are almost a part of the game itself, especially this section, so yeah, people are expected to use it. And hell, what does he want by posting this? Change the world through whining?

People like Mikey are the reason we can't have any interesting threads in Congress. Yeah, we get it, community sucks. Now please stop derailing every single thread with potential, we don't give a fuck about your opinions. Make your own thread about how community sucks and keep all these posts in there.

And there are major factions fighting total war, but we're not posting it because there's no point in making threads given the current state of the Congress.
