Anyway, to address the general direction of this thread, do any of you think this behaviour is limited to Russians? I've played a lot of sandbox games, and in all that involve a PvP element, you're going to have a cadre of maladjusted trolls with inferiority complexes. This cuts across ethnic and cultural lines. If you want to know how PvP is likely to develop in this game if it gains wider appeal, I can tell you; just look at EVE Online or UO. There will be skads of players that sneer at the idea of actually playing the game, preferring instead to macro and metagame their way to success. These same players will roam in groups, slaughtering lone players and newbies and running from any group that could actually challenge them.

If you don't like it, you have probably picked the wrong genre. Even if the devs made killing noobs or 'ganking' in groups less rewarding, people would still do it. Work together to eliminate them, or hide well and outsmart them; it isn't difficult. Just don't flip out about manchildren stomping on your internet sand-castles. That's how they get their enjoyment.

2. When it happent Russians were Russians already. Even before they took this name they had identified themselves as Slovene and considered they were the same people, they had common language and religion.

I'm Brazilian, probably not the best person to talk about Russian history, but as far as I am concerned, Moscow was founded by the Rus people. The Rus were the ancestors of Russians, Ukrainians and Belorussians, they were NOT "the Russians" simply because Russia didn't exist yet, nor did the Grand Duchy of Muscovy (for obvious reasons). It is plain ridiculous to claim that Kievan Rus' was "Russian" and not Ukrainian or Belorussian when none of the three peoples existed yet. There was no nationalism or national identity prior to the XIX century also, so I hardly think that Russians existed before Russia. The division of Kievan Rus' happened due to political reasons, it had nothing to do with nationality.
