The Death of a Treeplanter

Postby shadowcoil » Thu Feb 10, 2011 12:16 pm

So I died for the first time, shot down in the middle of my farm while harvesting my crop. Nothing was said and nothing was stolen. In other words, completely pointless. And now my skills are so low I will ruin my seeds when I harvest, when I buy back the required skills to run my farm that is. 2k points won't do that, which is what I got back (no idea how that was calculated, 25% of what?). Stealing I can understand, random PK is just pointless. My farming, sewing and cooking skills where just getting decent from building and setting up my farm, now I have to start over and find some way of grinding LP.

Is random death just a way of life in H&H? As the penalty is really brutal, this is something of a dealbreaker for new players. Spending a lot of time hoping you won't just die will just keep new players out.
Anyway, what is the best way of grinding back LP?

One thing is sure, there won't be any trees planted by this fellow anytime soon.

People who can't take care of themselves or own security should join villages.

Actually, I don't know. I've been avoiding to look at the world map because I want the world to be big and unknown.

I can probably find out though. Why do you ask?

If that is true this game and the community is fundamentally flawed.

Good luck with that argument. So far, it's only seen me mocked.

What's wrong with us that we expect people not to act like garbage? And why do people aspire to be garbage? It's a disturbing trend.

truth.
You should never HAVE to be in a village to play the game. hell, back when I was in Ah Uuc Ticab, we had someone just boat right past and try to take a shot at the farmer when she was farming her crops.
no reason, nothing said, no past aggression.
they simply boated past, and took a shot, to which she ran indoors.

and yes. we did have the zone palisaded, which is what I presume saved her life rather then him just following her in and killing her indoors.

PvP in my open PvP game? True madness ..

This is to be expected, some important things you can do is to not trust anyone build a wall 50 meters out from your normal wall so no one can see you.

If she got hit, track the scent and give a leson to the idiot. Usually randomly shoting people ends with the bones of the agressor on the village gates.

It's not PvP if the other individual (or group) cannot or will not fight back. Not in the true spirit of the word.

If that makes you feel better, then by all means, but the terminology was coined in the spirit of sport, not thuggery.
