Trapped

My brother and me got the wonderful experience of being the target of a griefer, who seems to be driven by some irrational hatred and are now stuck in our small camp. After being away for a day we found ourselves inside a palisade with no way to get out. I'm not calling for revenge, I really don't want to give him a reason for behaving like he did, we just want to get out. There is nothing left so we don't even want to stay, but that also means we can't offer much for help of any kind.

If anyone has an idea how we could get out of this situation (beside waiting for "death through starving") we would be very thankful.

Destroy your hearthfires and spawn to wilderness or join a village and port there.

Thank you for the advice, the first one will work for my brother.
We already considered the second, but the inhabitants of a village next to us, which we also knew and traded with, seem to be offline for a while, but I'm glad that even one of us can play the game again we learned to love and to hate.

If you can, make a hearthfire closer to the edge of the wall, then make alts connected to the hearth secret. With some luck, you'll spawn outside. After that, run around looking for people to help you bust the wall down.

What happened here... Someone nice built you a palisade and left you a key as a very kind gesture, but a troll got to you first. My condolences, griefers are so useless sometimes.

The problem is solved, my character hasn't left the place yet, but the request was more in favor of my brother, who is more likely to quit a game in such a case.
I don't have such a big problem with starting a new character while waiting for a chance to get my character out of his small prison.

And just for your information:
The whole thing started with someone stealing our stuff from our claim, then we just destroyed closed every entrance of our fence with a second gateless fence (moving in and out by destroying part of the fence and replacing it). It seemed like the problem was solved, because he wasn't able to destroy anything. His answer was to make a lot of runestones with insults, what wasn't much of a problem. I guess he was really bored, because he just learned vandalism for the purpose of killing our animals, destroying our farms, stealing everything we weren't wearing and then trapping us in our own territory. For the last thing vandalism wasn't really necessary, because he build a whole palisade of his own (like I said, we were of for about 24h, which he used to place the first part of the palisade, waiting for 8h and then building a palisade around our both claims).
