A lot of work goes into making a merchants robe. You have to make over 12 good Q herbalist tables, then over 16 cupboards grow a high Q mulberry tree stay online so the don't die fill the cupboards melt it down then make cloth takes time could take 3-7 days.... but you seem to be an expert in the silk department so good luck with that.

having 12 tables is not necessary. high quality is not necessary for robe.
I made my first merchant robe in this game only with log cabin, 10 cupboards, 4 tables and clay cauldron. Without any high skills, stats and hq tools.

Just had my own first trade with these guys - Very good traders and friendly to boot; would recommend this to any in the west who're struggling to get anything on the list.
